Online movieflix.com is a SVOD site that is for Independent Producers to showcase their work and have residual income based on the films/tv program/short film plays.
Our story begins like this.
As a film producer myself, I have been ripped off by distributors for my own films. With the COVID -19 Epidemic hit I started to develop a SVOD streaming service for Independent Producers like myself. At the time I received many inquiries and I started receiving films to use the site with the intention of getting the site running by Fall of 2020.
Unfortunately, in August of 2020, I got a Blood Infection, forcing me into the Hospital for almost 5 months. I had a Heart Valve replaced and still have re-hab. I have recovered to the point that now it is the time to launch this SVOD site.
Those that know me know of Champion Entertainment Inc. and other companies in Houston that have made films for 30 plus years. I also teach Film and Television Production at Texas Southern University.
Although I saw the major studios set-up Streaming Video Services, it is highly unlikely that the low budget Independent Producer will ever has a chance to get their project on those platforms. And if they do, the payouts are so small, if at all, it is hardly worth it. That is where we come in. We want your project.
Currently, we are using a Content Delivery Network hosted by VHX owned by Vimeo. As we progress, we will deliver on our own CDN, but at this point it is the safest and the easiest way to start the streaming service.
We will payout every quarter when your films revenue hit at least $100.00 in a calendar quarter. You will receive payment about 30 days after the close of the quarter. We prefer to pay you by PayPal but will mail you a check if you request one instead. The balance due you is carried over to the next quarter. If your film fails to make the $100.00 minimum for payout. For example, if it makes only 90.00 in a quarter, you only need to make 10.00 the following quarter for payout.
But your film should make at least $100.00 per quarter so you will see a payout.This is based on projected revenue , based on our SVOD research on Independent Films.Your quarterly reports will show the number of plays your video has had, and other stats including income. Our income split is 60% to you the Producer and 40% to onlinemovieflix.
